Coastal areas like Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata fall in higher zones. Inland areas like Delhi, Bangalore in lower zones.

Select terrain type based on ground surface roughness and obstructions around your site.
Category 1 – Exposed Open Terrain
Few or no obstructions. Average height <1.5 m. (Airfields, coastal areas, flat plains)
Category 2 – Open Terrain
Scattered obstructions 1.5–10 m height. (Parks, suburbs, undeveloped areas)
Category 3 – Suburban/Industrial
Numerous obstructions up to 10 m. (Towns, developed industrial areas) — TYPICAL
Category 4 – Urban/Dense Built-up
Many tall buildings >25 m. (City centres, dense complexes)
Step 3: Structure Classification
Classify your structure based on maximum dimension (height or width, whichever is greater).
Class A: Villas, bungalows. Class B: 5–10 storey buildings. Class C: Modern skyscrapers.
